In Ghana, YKI works with a school outside Ejura in the Ashanti region. Here we want to contribute with teaching materials, help to support the teaching and also with the continued development of the school's physical environment and premises.
Love & Peace (L&P), YKI's partner in South Sudan, is developing a family center in the capital Juba. At the Family and Resource Center, members of civil society design an environment for stimulation and learning adapted to the needs of the child and the family. The whole family meets for co-learning, stimulation and play. The L&P family center will be a model center for the entire South Sudan.

Family program for integration
In Sweden, YKI works with the program "Families in collaboration for integration". The program aims to prevent exclusion and segregation and is based on encouraging parents to stimulate and develop the child's mother tongue and strengthen the child's cultural identity. This is done both at home, preschool and from outside a resource center. A well-developed mother tongue favors second language learning and parents become involved and appreciated for something they already master. It creates conditions for the child's and family's integration in preschool and society.
